1. Scope and Agreement
These Terms of Use apply to Playground for LM. By installing, purchasing, launching, accessing, or continuing to use the app, users acknowledge that they have read and understood these terms, the Privacy Policy, Third-Party Model Statement, Open Source Licenses, and Disclaimer.
2. App Nature and License
The app is a local AI model runtime, management, inference, and speech-to-text tool for Apple platforms. Users receive a license to use the app within the scope allowed by Apple platform rules and these documents, not ownership of third-party model weights, third-party services, cloud service quota, professional transcription services, or third-party content authorization.
3. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for the models they download, import, run, copy, save, or share, and for prompts, generated content, recordings, imported audio, imported video, transcripts, and later uses. Users must comply with applicable laws, third-party platform rules, model licenses, Apple rules, recording and privacy rules, and these terms.
4. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not use the app to conduct or assist illegal acts, infringement, fraud, harassment, privacy violations, unauthorized recording or transcription, malicious code, unauthorized intrusion, unsafe instructions, sexual exploitation, child-inappropriate content, hate, discrimination, violence, or other improper conduct.
5. Model Output
Model output and speech transcripts may be inaccurate, fabricated, incomplete, biased, missing words, mistranscribed, incorrectly punctuated, incorrectly segmented, timestamp-shifted, or unsuitable for professional decisions. Users should not rely on model output or transcript text as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, investment, safety, emergency, compliance, or other high-risk decisions.
6. Purchases, Pro Entitlement, and Refunds
The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Future versions may change from a paid download to a free download with a Pro entitlement offered through App Store in-app purchase. The free version may include a limited number of local chat messages. Pro may unlock unlimited local chat, local speech-to-text transcription, and other complete local features, as described in the app and App Store product information.
Users who purchased the paid app through the App Store before the free transition will retain full access automatically where technically feasible and allowed by Apple rules, without needing to purchase Pro again. Development builds, TestFlight builds, or testing environments may show a developer or testing status and may be fully unlocked by default for testing and App Review. Purchases, refunds, billing, order records, Family Sharing, taxes, price display, and Apple Account matters are handled by Apple according to its rules.
7. Updates and Termination
The developer may update, modify, suspend, or remove features within a reasonable scope because of product maintenance, legal requirements, App Store requirements, system changes, or third-party platform changes. Users who do not agree to updated documents should stop using the app.
